Firstly, The Festival of Samhain is a celebration of the end of the harvest season in Gaelic culture, and is generally regarded as 'The Celtic New Year'. People believed that on 31th october of the Celtic new year,the desd would come back to life ,so they made bonfires with bones of animals,and made masks to mimic or to placate the evil spirits. Why did the people have bonfires and wear masks?
