Living, Learning, and Lisping! Normandie “fort et vert” (for-e-ver). January 17, 2014. After being a typical American tourist for a few days in Paris (already wrote alll about that in my previous post), I was warmly welcomed at my friend’s/roommate’s family home in Potigny, a French municipality located in the department of Calvados in Basse-Normandie (Lower Normandy). One thing I didn’t realize before arriving was that the town Marion lives in is SO rural and so small! SO UNBELIEVABLY SWEET OF THEM!

Life updates and such…. An embarrassingly long amount of time has passed since I’ve written anything here. There goes my claim that I will write regularly. My apologies. In the months that I’ve been gone I’ve journeyed through quite a bit of adventures:. I started a new job. My fiancé arrived in America from Ethiopia. I changed my last name. Seasons changed and Fall arrived. Sent in the Green Card application. I celebrated living through another 365 days. I gained health insurance. A message for everyone.
