Church planting wife, homeschooling mom, finding joy in the imperfections of life! Laquo; Nutella Ice Cream – no kidding! The glory of fall. An imperfect pastor’s wife. On September 7, 2014. My biggest worry, angst, fear, when we were looking at church planting was that. I was not good enough to fill this role. Across the board, every single person we spoke to said “Just be yourself! People want the pastor and his wife to be real. Be someone they can relate to. People they can identify with! I went quiet...

Church planting wife, homeschooling mom, finding joy in the imperfections of life! The never ending list. There are weeks where everything works so smoothly. Things run along, you keep on top of things. The house stays neat, you pay bills on time, the to do list is caught up and the projects are on track. Wait, do people really have those weeks? Go to the bathroom,. Just so I’ll feel like I’ve accomplished something. Yes, it’s that bad. Or does anyone really do it all? The list grows by the second. That ...

Church planting wife, homeschooling mom, finding joy in the imperfections of life! The Glory of Fall. It’s been since March that I’ve written. I’ll be honest, my last blog post…. That was hard. Like, really hard. That shook me to my core, and kept me shook up. It still brings a tear to my eyes. I’ve always wondered what it would be like to make more money than we needed. For 12 months we had money. But… oh, but…. Oh, goodness. It’s so true. Have the money was nice. It’s hard to admit that. The ...I asked...

Church planting wife, homeschooling mom, finding joy in the imperfections of life! The new year is something neat to behold. We go racing up to the finish line of the last year, often gasping and haltered, ready for the break the year end brings us. There are parties, gatherings, gifts, socializing, year end, wrapping up, chaos. It’s beautiful, it’s lovely, it’s glorious, and it is. Outreach, inreach (is that a word? This year I’d love to make the resolutions that say. I will do better. I will BE better.

Church planting wife, homeschooling mom, finding joy in the imperfections of life! Laquo; The never ending list. The Summer Project, Take 1. On June 8, 2014. Okay, I will admit it. I am a nerd for a summer project! You see, fall and winter are so crazy around here. The kids have their sports, clubs, homeschool co-ops. Church care groups, meetings. Work is peak during those months. It’s crazy. I find this is the time to dig into. Shows boards and boards of “summer project” ideas. I now hav...I have done a...

Church planting wife, homeschooling mom, finding joy in the imperfections of life! Mandy and the Terrible, No Good, Really Bad Day. Yup, it was one of. Days today. I started my day bright eyed and bushy tailed. Well, as much as I am any day. Which, I suppose if I’m honest meant I was mostly human, ready for coffee, and not too grouchy. All those productivity blogs talk about morning people. I am not one. Probably a post for another day! Oh, that voice I talked about? Boy, is it loud today. I spent the ev...

Church planting wife, homeschooling mom, finding joy in the imperfections of life! Laquo; Happy 2015! The Glory of Fall. Living in the moment. On March 15, 2015. I’ve been quiet on here for a bit. Not intentionally, but because I’ve been truly trying to change things up a bit. My last post, about trying to refocus for 2015, well, it has become a little more urgent. At least in my own mind. And we kept running. The door to the theatre was always just around the next corner, but the hall never ended. It...
