Faces of Vietnam | Shaggygirl
https://shaggygirl.wordpress.com/2012/05/11/faces-of-vietnam
Last month I was lucky enough to be able to visit Vietnam. It is a land of beauty and warmth, not just the landscape but the people too. They are interesting and funny and have faces full of character. This is particularly true with the older Vietnamese. Their lives are mapped on their faces and you can’t help but wonder what their lives have been like. Here are some of the wonderful people I met. Month in a Minute – April 2012. Children of Vietnam – Part 2 – Hoi An Pre-School | Shaggygirl
https://shaggygirl.wordpress.com/2012/09/04/children-of-vietnam-part-2-hoi-an-pre-school
Children of Vietnam – Part 2 – Hoi An Pre-School. One of my favourite parts of my trip to Vietnam was Hoi An. We took a bike ride through some of the town and back areas. It was beautiful and a definite highlight, even for someone who isn’t a riding fan. One of the places we visited was a small pre-school. Our guide (we called him TV) told us that the kids used to be very shy around Westerners but now they came running up to say a cheery Hello! You can see why I couldn’t help taking photos of them. Top P...

On Your Mark, Get Set…..NaNo! | Shaggygirl
https://shaggygirl.wordpress.com/2012/11/03/on-your-mark-get-set-nano
On Your Mark, Get Set….NaNo! As I’ve previously posted, each November a bunch of people around the world sit down and try to bang out 50,000 words before 1 December. We call this phenomenon NaNoWrimo (National Novel Writing Month). I am one of these brave (or crazy) souls. It’s Day 3 (at least where I am) and I’m up on my word count (yay! Here’s what I’ve learnt from my own experience last year but what I’ve also picked up from others:. 1 Keep It Simple. 2 Go Hard Early. I like to keep notebooks with pic...

Blogging for 4 Years // Blogaversary - Kaleidoscope
http://kaleidoscopeblog.net/blogging-for-4-years-blogaversary
September 5, 2013. March 2, 2015. Blogging for 4 Years / Blogaversary. Today, September 5, is my four-year blogging anniversary – my Blogaversary! Little-by-little I began to share more of my personal story on Calico and Co. and it came to the point where I felt the design side of things didn’t fit so well with the personal side of things, so after MUCH deliberation, I decided to split the blog into a personal blog – Amanda’s Musings. Cheers* Thank you for coming on this journey with me! April 5, 2016.

Often I find that I am Naked – An adventure and a Review | Shaggygirl
https://shaggygirl.wordpress.com/2011/11/10/naked-review
Often I find that I am Naked – An adventure and a Review. Recently I had a little midweek adventure, headed out of the city up the Freeway to join my best pal in the small(ish) town up on the coast that she works in. Yes that’s right folks, I had an evening out in Cessnock. Often I find that I am Naked. Now a word of warning. This play is not for the easily shocked or offended. It’s saucy. Very saucy. Which, you know, is just fun but you have to pick your audience. The set was simple but effective and I ...

bowerbird: Take time out
http://bowerbird-blog.blogspot.com/2011/07/take-time-out.html
Tuesday, July 5, 2011. Last monday I took a day off work. Just for fun. I find I get so easily caught up doing. Life rather than living. It I needed a day to do all those things I've been meaning to do but never make the time. Later that evening, I found the most appropriate post from Amanda Fuller over at Amanda's Musings. She had posted this print from Departika. It made me smile. The perfect summary of the day I'd just had. Posted by Peppermint Press (& Carla). Tuesday, July 05, 2011. You are my fave.

Blogging is like Exercise. Blogging is like exercise. It’s good while you are doing it but once you stop it’s really hard to get started. Really hard. My poor blog has been neglected for nearly 3 months. Oh I had posts in mind to write. I even started a couple. Like the usual “Welcome to 2013” and “2012 in … Continue reading →. NaNoWrimo – Halfway!
