My Weight Loss Journey. Sandwiches & Burgers. January 2, 2012. A new year always brings new resolutions. Eat less junk food. Exercise more. You know, the normal resolution-y type stuff. So far this year, I’ve exercised everyday (*cough* ignore that the grand total is only two days)! That’s a success rate of 100%! 8221; ...

Welcome to My Random Garden. Saturday, September 29, 2012. Growing Peanuts in Zone 4? I use the farmers market as an idea of what other vegetables/fruits I could possibly grow in my own backyard. If they can grow it, so can I! So imagine my surprise, when I found several people selling buckets of peanuts! Peanuts, is one thing I had never ever seen in this market before. I have been going to this market virtually every year for over a dozen years! Bittergourd(on right) burned under the sheets(:. Even the...

Welcome to My Random Garden. Tuesday, October 29, 2013. Harvest Monday - Oct 28 2013. Deceptively, these harvests are all the last ones being harvest on 10/17. We had a frost on Oct 19 this year, which is almost a whole month later than forever(or since I started to garden:). I did not have to cover plants, protect plants or even worry about frost this year! What a great garden year! For all other harvests this week, please visit Daphne's Dandelions. Eggplants, bittergourds, sweet peppers. One more is st...

Welcome to My Random Garden. Sunday, October 28, 2012. Harvest Monday - Oct 29, 2012. I thought that I had posted the last of my harvests, but obviously not :) I did combine two weeks of harvests in this post. It is not much, but cleaning up the garden, I did manage to get some more carrots, turnips, kohlrabi and (gasp) my first (and maybe my only) brussel sprout stem! As usual thanks to Daphne for hosting the Harvest Mondays! Carrots, radishes, turnips. Tuesday, October 9, 2012. Monday, October 1, 2012.

Welcome to My Random Garden. Tuesday, June 5, 2012. Harvest Monday - June 4, 2012. I haven't posted in 'Harvest mondays' for a while, the reason being I had one vegetable that got harvested every week and nothing else and that is ASPARAGUS! Don't get me wrong, we love harvesting it and eating it almost immediately, but it didn't feel right to keep posting the same thing every week:). For everyone else's harvests, please visit Daphne's Dandelions. Spring onions, fresh oregano. Friday, June 1, 2012. Garden...
