To mark the occasion of the incredible feat of the six ladies from the Serpentine Swimming Club swimming the channel in September 2008 a dinner is being held in the Skinners' Hall. 8 1/2 Dowgate Hill. The channel swim as reported by the BBC. Women finish Afghan Channel swim. Six women complete a swim across the English Channel to raise money for maternity clinics in Afghanistan.
