Here is where you will find a bit about the project and the semi full story. Ampershann is a sub-site of the Shannon Miwa. Empire. This empire is pretty small. Putting my work up and available for use is my way of making my work real. Because I cannot be sure what the hell I’m doing wrong or right, I’ve decided to treat any fonts developed here as works in progress, fluid works that are changing constantly, and—I sincerely hope—getting better with every iteration.

Overseas Version 1.0.0. Overseas is based on commercial script lettering from 50s/60s travel posters. In this current iteration, capital letters from the ‘print’ version are combined with miniscule ‘script’ letters. Eventually, these will be separated into two different weights of Overseas. A full print weight and a full script weight are in development, but for now, this is it.

Laundromat Version 1.2. New in 1.2. An ampersand and a dollar sign. New in 1.2. Laundromat is a display typeface based on various hand painted signs for various laundromats around New York City. Included in the download is an otf file and a webfont kit created using Font Squirrel. Laundromat Heavy Duty, a bold weight of Laundromat is currently in progress. So far, capitals are all I have.

Riter 0.1.0. Riter is a typeface originally meant to mimic a typewriter. Through development, the concept of Riter has evolved and is now meant as a tool for writing, not typesetting. Riter is meant solely as a vehicle for getting thoughts onto. Paper With the rise of markdown and similar writing formats, there is a need for a font that makes a writer feel like writing. Well, I think so anyway. Anyway, all that’s here are capitals, so you can’t do too much yet unless you’re just shouting.
