Release the Clackum!: July 2014
http://releasetheclackum.blogspot.com/2014_07_01_archive.html
A potpourri of truths, lies, facts, opinions and witty reparteé. Sunday, July 27, 2014. The Last Ship: Lockdown. Last week, I read a review of "El Toro" in which the reviewer compared the entire episode to "The Magnificent Seven" and my thought was hey, if you're going to be compared.that'd be the one. This week we don't have any heroics but we do have. mutiny. A more appropriate title for this episode would be "Loose Lips Sink Ships". Because that's damn near what happened. Hopefully, it's not too late.

A potpourri of truths, lies, facts, opinions and witty reparteé. Sunday, August 09, 2015. The Last Ship: Uneasy Lies the Head. I could just sum up the entire episode with the ending. But that would be boring wouldn't it? Not yet ready for primetime. You ready to meet the crew? What exactly is expected of me? Am I to make battle decisions? You'll be consulted on relevant matters, anything that falls under the executive branch or anything. Who ya gonna call? He's not ready - Not yet, at least.". Leaders ar...

Release the Clackum!: February 2014

A potpourri of truths, lies, facts, opinions and witty reparteé. Wednesday, February 26, 2014. You can't escape death but you can sure as hell fight it to the bitter end. Many years ago my friend, former professor and mentor Diana discussed Dylan Thomas's "Do Not Go Gentle Into That Good Night" in class. We know we can't escape death ultimately, it comes for all of us, but that doesn't mean we have to sit back and let it take us without giving it a run for its money. Do not go gentle into that good night,.

A potpourri of truths, lies, facts, opinions and witty reparteé. Monday, November 18, 2013. College students: be part of the solution, not part of the problem! How in the hell can you sit there and complain if you're helping to perpetuate the problem? Can you imagine where we'd be today if everyone kept their mouths shut because they didn't want to get anyone in trouble or because they thought nobody would do anything? Links to this post. Release the Clackum!: September 2014
http://releasetheclackum.blogspot.com/2014_09_01_archive.html
A potpourri of truths, lies, facts, opinions and witty reparteé. Monday, September 08, 2014. Never forget that the Baltimore Ravens tweeted this:. The Ravens disclaimer says their views don't necessarily represent the team's front office or coaching staff. Fair enough. So whose views do they represent? Whether they like it or not, they do officially represent the team and everything they tweet has the possibility of positively or negatively impacting the Ravens organization. Too little, too late. My life...

I'd say it's about damn time the USS Nathan James goes all Rambo on the Ramsey boys! I'd say having a bad day was probably a major understatement here. He just lost...

A potpourri of truths, lies, facts, opinions and witty reparteé. Sunday, July 26, 2015. The Last Ship: Alone and Unafraid. The Boy Scouts called. There was so much ass-kicking in this episode I was beside myself shouting "YES! Does that make me a bad person? Aaaand here we go. Frankly, I just want to see one kill the other off. Ned is so obstinate and the way he kowtows to his brother's whims is aggravating. Every time they're in each other's faces I just yell NED STAND UP TO THE ASSHOLE WILL YA? I thoug...

Release the Clackum!: September 2013
http://releasetheclackum.blogspot.com/2013_09_01_archive.html
A potpourri of truths, lies, facts, opinions and witty reparteé. Monday, September 30, 2013. In this government shutdown showdown, we're just pawns in the political game. What we have right now is a few asshats in Congress holding this country hostage by using the Affordable Care Act aka Obamacare as a bargaining chip when it isn't even tired directly to this government funding. The Affordable Care Act is not. And as Sarah Kliff of the Washington Post explains:. Those mandatory funds were appropriated in...
