By Los Angeles Artists and Artisans. Cool Dappled Light" won a Stellar Art Award in the True Colors 2 show by Digital Arts California. Http:/ www.digitalartscalifornia.com/? True Colors 2 reprises the color sensation of our first True Colors show. The many stunning images in this show come from around the world, representing 83 accomplished digital artists and photographers from 20 countries. Society of Illustrators of Los Angeles (Bronze Metal). Second Biennial Dimensional Salon (Honorable Mentions).
I create colorful mixed-media monoprints, clay illustrations, abstracts and digital art photography. My work is available as prints and on designer products.
http://www.amyvangsgard.com/home.html
Monoprints combine the spontaneity of loose painting and a texture that is unlike any other art. I create monoprints by pouring paint on a plexiglass and then placing a sheet of paper on top of the painting. The next step is to run the plexiglass and sheet of paper through a press. I am now on a creative journey exploring the endless possibilities of combining monoprints with various media.

AmyVanGogh's Ear | Tune into art, zines and fun things…
Tune into art, zines and fun things…. Self-care as a path to…. May 10, 2015 - Leave a Response. Over the past few years, I’ve become a better friend to myself. And, what I think…. Is that by being a better friend to myself, I’ve become a better friend to others. Self-love, self-care they are often over-used. And maybe I’m guilty of contributing to that too. I just increasingly see how fundamental they are to being able to access our intuition… our own radar and guidance. Do more of that! I love bicycle r...

Tuesday, November 1, 2011. We were all disgusted. I felt so sorry for the waiter, because we all knew it wasn't his fault and obviously the management/ manager (who was very young, immature and clearly full of himself) was not up to standard. In the end, it was a dissappointing, yet very entertaining and enjoyable evening! We enjoyed the company, and the bad experience at Blues provided us with some entertainment and no recommendations for anyone to have a meal there anytime soon! I used to love it!

Through Changing Eyes | Reflections on a Life That Never Stays the Same
Reflections on a Life That Never Stays the Same. February 9, 2015 by amyvanhuisen. We are always happy to see a wound heal. After carefully treating it–whether that means timely stitches or just the careful application of antibiotic ointment and faithful changing of dressings–to have a cut or incision heal properly without becoming infected makes us breath a sigh of relief. November 16, 2014 by amyvanhuisen. My own mom was more likely to bake during the week; we cleaned on Saturdays.) Now, being gone...
