Have they really given you macaroni cheese and chips? This is my first visit to your site . so funny and yet sadly so true xx. 18 September 2009 at 12:37. What sort of animal would put lumpy custard with chips of dubious character! 18 September 2009 at 12:39. Carbs with carbs - they must have you on the Snikta diet. Hmmmm do I sp...

Hundreds and Thousands (on the trifle of life). 124; Comments RSS. Free - the best band ever? Does vinegar make you shit? More shit you couldn't make up. I used to like Stephen Fry. Hornets and a Wasp. Posted on September 5, 2010. I’ve posted quite a lot about the number of strange (to us) creatures we’ve seen since we’ve been living in the Mayenne and it’s been a fantastic experience observing the French flora and fauna but as with most pleasures there’s a downside. However, whilst a simple whack with a...

Notes from a hospital bed: August 2010
http://hospitalnotes.blogspot.com/2010_08_01_archive.html
Thursday, 19 August 2010. My first act as world leader will be to ban infantile surveys dreamed up by PR companies during the silly season when the nation’s newspapers are even more devoid of meaningful copy than usual. The latest piece of statistical nonsense to be published comes to us courtesy of Polo Mints. For some reason, the mighty Nestlé decided to commission a study of Britons’ eating habits in the post-dining room age. And what did these geniuses discover? To round off this dissertation in dige...

Friday, 22 October 2010. Finger on the pulse. A report commissioned by the UK’s Food Standards Agency is advocating a massive shift in our eating and cooking habits in order to combat climate change. The report was produced by a team at the University of East Anglia, the same institution that was recently at the heart of a row over possible manipulation of dodgy climate data used in a report about global warming. These humourless cretins won’t be happy until we’re living in cold stone huts li...Here's th...

Friday, 29 March 2013. The Rt Hon Secretary of State for the Disabled. Today I'd like to talk to you about a new government initiative which we have called DISABLE. This stands for Decommissioning of Injured, Sick, Autistic, Bothersome and Loafers Euthanasia programme. It's a very simple concept whereby we round up those who are, frankly, a drain on society and we offer them the opportunity to do the decent thing. Links to this post. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Notes from a hospital bed: November 2010
http://hospitalnotes.blogspot.com/2010_11_01_archive.html
Sunday, 28 November 2010. When the last bunch of illiberal twits running the country were replaced by the Clegg-Cameron Coalition, I had high hopes that the micro-managing health bullies who never tire of lecturing us on our diets and alcohol consumption might have become a thing of the past. However, I'm an idiot to presume that any politician can be anything but an illiberal moonbat who gets off on pushing people around. Links to this post. Sunday, 14 November 2010. Sunday, 18 July 2010. Sorry for the recent silence. I'm progressing well but have been feeling so tired. I'm trying to do a bit more and to mobilise a little further and it's really hard work, hence my inability to blog. I'll try hard to get back to it as soon as I can. Links to this post. Monday, 5 July 2010. We were only following orders. Barnsley PCT was approached for a comment and said it was only following national policy. Hmm. that old chestnut! Links to this post. Wednesday, 23 March 2011. Nanny goes to work. Hide your lunchbox. The boss is coming. Put that donut down and pull the reserve apple out of your desk drawer. Sounds like some sort of Orwellian nightmare, doesn’t it? So what sort of things could we expect from this nonsense? Free gyms in the workplace? How on earth have we arrived at the situation where the government is now poking its corporate nose into the grown-up relationship between employer and employee? We already have companies laying down govern...
