Dear Rowan: December 2010
http://writingtorowan.blogspot.com/2010_12_01_archive.html
Tuesday, December 28, 2010. No news is. no news. We had our weekly appointment this morning. It was bumped up a day because the office will be closed on Friday for New Year's. And, though I had certainly hoped that all those twinges and practice contractions were actually a sign of progress, I remain at 2 cm dilated with a lot of thinning out left to do. Darn. My parents and my sister and my niece all have their plane tickets now. I had hoped to have some time with just me, Greg and the baby before t...

Dear Rowan: February 2011
http://writingtorowan.blogspot.com/2011_02_01_archive.html
Friday, February 25, 2011. Back when I was breastfeeding and Andrew was not gaining weight - Dr. S said we'd have to start supplementing to put some "chunk" on him. He was thin then. His little fingers and toes were sort of skinny and his legs and arms were too. Thankfully, those days are gone. Our little guy is a chunk! I know I am biased beyond belief, but isn't he just the cutest thing ever? I couldn't agree more. Wednesday, February 23, 2011. If I could do this thing over. As it turns out, I didn't e...

Dear Rowan: June 2010
http://writingtorowan.blogspot.com/2010_06_01_archive.html
Wednesday, June 23, 2010. How do you spell relief? Yet here I am, noting another milestone along the way. It still seems surreal at times that it actually worked and that there's a tiny little human growing inside of me. Nope, this is my first time.". Well, welcome to Motherhood.". I'm sure that's what they always say, but for me her words held a more significant meaning. Friday, June 18, 2010. We got our "official" due date, which I had already calculated myself but now since the doc said it we can be m...

Dear Rowan: November 2010
http://writingtorowan.blogspot.com/2010_11_01_archive.html
Sunday, November 28, 2010. Filled with Thanksgiving (and lots of other good stuff). Here we are on Thanksgiving Day. We are two very grateful people. On Friday, after we had blueberry pancakes and before I went to work, we were enjoying some lazy cuddle time. Greg was rubbing my belly, waiting for any baby movements and I was thinking of how blessed we are right now. Honey, we're going to have a baby. Can you believe it? I do now," Greg said, laughing and looking at this giant lumpy bump. Today, I made a...

Dear Rowan: September 2010
http://writingtorowan.blogspot.com/2010_09_01_archive.html
Sunday, September 26, 2010. Back pain, a new job and a shower invite. That's it for bad news. The rest is all good, so bear with me. The first good thing that happened is I got a new job! In other news this week, a co-worker called to tell me she's pregnant. This friend has really been a great supporter through my IVF and FET and through this pregnancy. She cried when I found out I was pregnant and always says things like "I have a vested interest in this baby! Monday, September 20, 2010. I was paging th...

A rare post from me. And to think I used to do this nearly everyday. Well, as you can see, my sweet boy is just that - a real live boy. The baby is gone. Even when I call him "baby" sometimes he will correct me - "I'm not a baby. I'm a big boy.". Yes, my love, you are. He said "That is a great idea! He gets angry sometimes ...

Abiding Andrew: March 2013

Whippetmom snaps 365 1 {year five}. Ye Fat Sarge's Guide to Better Living. Reunions and the Original "Ric Flair". Three is a Magic Number. Monday, March 11, 2013. All aboard the potty train! I have learned this is par for the course. Potty training is a process. Some have told me it's too early and that my son is too young and to those people I grumpily mutter under my breath - who asked you? And, I have to say, that little tushy looks darn cute in his big boy underpants. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).
