Received her MFA in Painting from John F. Kennedy University in California. She also holds a. BFA in Painting from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale Illinois and a Multimedia Certificate in Digital Imaging from Berkeley City College. Anna studied painting in Aix-en-Provence, France with the Marchutz artists’ group and also Art History in Athens, Greece at the Athens School of Fine Arts. The last few years she lives and works in Chania, Crete.

On a hot summer day nothing tastes better than the sweet juicy heart of a watermelon. In a similar way, my art has been the only catalyst to cool down those inner questions and desires of the soul. So, I paint. The experience and the act of painting have a direct connection to the act of remembering. It releases an un-coded language that lives inside the body as energy. The whole world then makes sense even the black watermelon seeds.
