Monday, June 24, 2013. March is gonna be fast and furious. I'm wanting to get all y'all caught up so we can continue on with current events. This is all history! We had some special visitors in the end of February/beginning of March. We even got to celebrate Grandma Jimmy's birthday! On the actual day of her birthday. (If you're a military family away from home, you understand what a big deal it is to see family on the actual holidays and special days! March also ushered in the spring soccer season.

Today, while Thing 1 and Thing 2 were at band practice, I decided to walk around the neighborhood. The neighborhood in which band practice is located is old. Old brick homes. Well, not crazy. Just busy. Crazy would be having to eject out of his jet. Heh, heh, heh. {ahem} Teaching lots of classes, and young "kids" to fly has caused my Marine to flourish. He is so happy with his job, and we're happy that we get to see him frequently. And no deployments on the horizon? Icing on the cake!

Though they had a detailed informational booklet about the families who lived in Cade's Cove, I still wonder about them as I wander through their abandoned houses, churches, fields, and farms.
