Commentary on all things cricket: December 2009
http://thebatsmensholdingthebowlerswilley.blogspot.com/2009_12_01_archive.html
Commentary on all things cricket. Sunday, 20 December 2009. Good Result, poor preformance. So like Cardiff we escape defeat again. This is a position we should have never been in. Andrew Strauss made a mistake from the start by putting South Africa in, although he may have misread the pitch or not put enough research into the conditions. The only plaudits for this game belong to Swann and Trott who both equipped themselves well. There is a lot to work on for Durban. Links to this post. Diaries of a Dieter.

Commentary on all things cricket: March 2012
http://thebatsmensholdingthebowlerswilley.blogspot.com/2012_03_01_archive.html
Commentary on all things cricket. Friday, 30 March 2012. Four in a row. Well now there can be no denying, England cannot play ordinary spin bowling. There is one test remaining on this short tour and certainly hope Strauss, Cook and co. will show they do have the technique to score runs on these wickets.I. Links to this post. Saturday, 3 March 2012. More questions than answers for England. The bowling line up seems to be capable of bowling out sides on any pitch providing the ball is pout in the right ar...

British Modern Socialist: October 2009
http://britishmodernsocialist.blogspot.com/2009_10_01_archive.html
A commentary on politics for all those socialist thinking people out there. Thursday, 1 October 2009. I don't want to scaremonger but there is a massive gulf between the ideology and attitude of both the maor parties. There is probably a difference between what the Tories will do and what they want to do. You only need to look at history and see what they are prepared to do to help keep their rich supporters happy. First of all lets look at the economy. So how will they reduce the national debt? No matte...

British Modern Socialist: January 2010
http://britishmodernsocialist.blogspot.com/2010_01_01_archive.html
A commentary on politics for all those socialist thinking people out there. Tuesday, 26 January 2010. Conservative Party running down Britain again. After a year of bad economic news, we are slowly starting to turn the corner and in the last week we have had good news on both Unemployment and output. Unfortunately the coments of David Cameron, Theresa May and George Osbourne have done nothing but throw negative views in a time where we need to be more positive. It is no good opposing spending to support ...

British Modern Socialist: April 2012
http://britishmodernsocialist.blogspot.com/2012_04_01_archive.html
A commentary on politics for all those socialist thinking people out there. Sunday, 1 April 2012. Why are poorest being made to pay for this recession? News this week that a £250.00 pay increase promised to the lowest paid public sector workers has not materialised. The Treasury has shrugged its shoulders and said it has n o control over the rates that Local Government pays. Whether this be a Tory led Government, Coalition or whatever it wants to brand itself, it is pointing the finger of blame at the wr...

Commentary on all things cricket: More questions than answers for England
http://thebatsmensholdingthebowlerswilley.blogspot.com/2012/03/more-questions-than-answers-for-england.html
Commentary on all things cricket. Saturday, 3 March 2012. More questions than answers for England. It is only three weeks until the first test against Sri Lanka and for England there are more questions than answers following the dismal test series against Pakistan. England have a very good group of players at their disposal and some very good young players knocking on the door, however the big question mark over England has always been their ability to win on Asian pitches. It is the batting I am concern...

Diaries of a Dieter: July 2010
http://dietingalways.blogspot.com/2010_07_01_archive.html
Diaries of a Dieter. Sunday, 18 July 2010. So for today I am hoping to not have anything substantail to eat until 6pm. I may have a piece of fruit during the day and maybe a cup of soup to keep me going. I would like to get out to ride my bike but I have had quite a bad cold over the last few days, so I will have to hold that for a few days longer. So I hope I can get my weight down a little from today when I do my daily weighing ritual tomorrow. See you then. Posted by Terry Bailey. My dietary regime is...
