Happy Chinese New Year/ Lunar New Year/ Spring Festival! Its the year of the rooster! I meant to do this post this morning but I slept in and time got a way from me. (Thats been happening a lot! BUT I just got home from a lovely family dinner and I wanted to take a minute to welcome in the new year! I love the Chinese New Year! I love all the red, good luck omens and traditions! I always enjoy reading my horoscope and seeing what the year might have in store for this golden goat! I hope it's a good one.

Gingerbread and gingerbread houses is one of the holiday things that just escapes me. I blame my family for not having this tradition when I was little. It wasn't until I was older that I got to assemble a gingerbread house and even then I remember it being very frustrating and messy. Also are you suppose to eat them? Anyways, I keep coming across wonderful gingerbread houses and recipes! One of these years I'm going to be brave enough to bake and assemble my own house! Tiny houses over at My Name is Yeh!

Sunday, June 30, 2013. While tracking though a couple playlists on 8tracks. I came across Good Old War! Two different songs were on two different playlists and I fell in love with both of them! So I figured I needed to listen to them more. I automatically was in love with there folky, alternative country sound.
