Oodellaly is going on hiatus.or sabbatical.or some break of some kind. I want to focus on more serious issues than the minutiae I tend to share on here. Please go visit my other blogs, or take the opportunity to read "An Oodellaly Sampling" - which are my favorite posts. Once I get bored enough, I'll be back on Oodellaly. Thanks for visiting! WARNING: My siblings and I are ridiculously, immensely and unapologetically snarky and judgmental, especially when it comes to drivers and/or bumper stickers.).

Random Funny Things My Kids Say. I'm hijacking Ello's series. At our house, there's me, hubby/Dada PJ, 4 1/2 yr old autistic Bear, and 3 yr old firecracker Bug. I got home from work today to find everyone chilling, watching Noggin, with PJ folding clothes. PJ: (holds up pair of blue boxers) Are these Bear's? Me: Yep. (We've recently potty trained). PJ: Huh. I almost thought they were mine. Me: Well, you do have a tiny butt. PJ: Not that tiny. Bug: (turning away from Noggin) Hey! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Random Not-So-Funny Things My Husband Says. So I'm sitting at my desk, frenetically catching up on work emails (you can't go to work on Sunday if there is even the remotest possibility you've missed someone's email), and hubby saunters in, looking dejected. I know it's been a tough day," I say, sympathetically. Oh, I'm just bored," he says, fingering stuff on my desk. Yeah The man's lucky he still has his fingers. I can't remember how I found the site Feministing. But it has become my favorite site in record time (except for Ello. S, of course.). In the past week, Feministing has highlighted the following stories:. College student reports rape only to be threatened for underage drinking. Student Amy Kerns reported the rape a year ago; when she followed up recently, she was told there was insufficient evidence for the charge, and that she was lucky she wasn't being brought on charges for underage drinking. E Let ea...

Lumpenlogocracy: March 2005

A Forum of Culture and Politics. Thursday, March 31, 2005. As a good entry into the conversation. Finally, if you're feeling more Gloomish than Doomish, it's still worth considering what a 'soft landing' might look like. (It sounds kind of nice, doesn't it? How about looking back to a somewhat analogous soft landing, when the US began to come down from the high deficits and real estate boom of the Reagan years? The other is at Macroblog. A Forum of Culture and Politics. Friday, April 29, 2005. I've been doing some reading of books relating to 9/11, which I can now review briefly for readers of our blog. The first book is Craig Unger's. House of Bush, House of Saud: The Secret Relationship between the World's Two Most Powerful Dynasties. Schor basica...
