The adventures of a Physician in Alaska. Thursday, August 2, 2012. August 2nd, 2012. What doesn't kill me makes me stronger. It's true. This period of time has been a nice test of my will but I am coming through it and this gives me some powerful positive ammo for any future challenges. It really is true that "this too shall pass". Recently Wendy and I drove down to the coastal trail in Anchorage and rode our bikes all over it. Very cool, but we got soaked. Rain, rain, rain! Check out the Rhubarb!

The adventures of a Physician in Alaska. Tuesday, July 27, 2010. There are so many things to do around here in the summer, but only so much time, as many things require a significant drive. It's also hard to get too far from work. I'm a closet workaholic. Next on the list is sheep hunting in the Brooks range. I'm going to do that in the middle of August and temps can reach down to 0 F at night. We will be tenting! Salmon and Copper River pictures to come. I'm still wiping the silt out of the blender!

These pictures were taken at just after 1:00 when the sun was cresting. When summer comes I'll try to match this with another picture where it never sets! The adventures of a Physician in Alaska. Friday, April 12, 2013. This winter has been the biggest challenge for us yet. The snow first hit us in early October and has been here ever since. Today it is April 12th and it is still -12 F outside this morning, with calls for even more snow and continued below normal temps.
