Tuesday, November 15, 2011. Today was The Arc of Whatcom County's Annual Legislative Coffee. Senator Doug Erickson, Representative Jason Overstreet and a representative for Representative Kristine Lytton were in attendance along with community members, families and self-advocates. Tyler and his mom shared the importance of his job and medical support. Community members listened intently as Beverly Porter, Executive Director of The Arc, outlined the possible state budget cuts. Tuesday, July 3, 2012. Hundreds of people throughout Whatcom County gathered at the Pickford Film Center on Thursday, June 7th for The Arc's Sprout Film Festival. Inspiring films featured individuals with developmental disabilities and greatly increased awareness and respect. Wednesday, October 13, 2010. Slideshow of Hope: Summer 2010. This past summer Ryan Dodge, son of executive director Corinne Clarke, and 90 other members of the fraternity Pi Kappa Phi traveled from San Francisco, CA to Washington DC, bicycling over 4,000 miles in 67 days to raise funds and awareness for people with disabilities.
