Tuesday, 4 August 2015. Five pigs were captured yesterday evening by quick-thinking Trevor Potts of Ardnamurchan Campsite. Who found them beginning to tuck in to the beautifully tended lawns around his pitches. Trevor rounded them up - he's a natural swine-herd - while the Diary summoned Hughie who, at first. We ended up doing a greatest hits package of, for me, the best bits of our normal routes without getting too lost. Ardnamurchan Lighthouse Taigh Solais Aird Nam Murchain. Ardnamurchan Lighthouse Visitor Centre. Latitude 56 43.6′ N Longitude 6 13.4′ W. At the most westerly point on the British mainland, Ardnamurchan Lighthouse has been guiding ships safely through the waters off Scotland’s west coast since 1849. The Tower is Closed for Maintenance. The exhibition, café and shop will remain open until October 31st. Tours of the lighthouse tower will resume in 2018. We apologise for any disappointment this may cause.
