My most recent visit to Ardtornish Gardens. Japanese Anemones are slow to establish and can be a bit fussy as to position but they are worth persevering with. I like Honorine Jobert, a lovely long-flowering white anemone. Schizostylis coccinea. Loves the conditions here and the clump slowly increases each year - it flowers for a couple of months and they make good cut flowers. The Primula Garden, Ardtornish Gardens. At the bottom of the steps lies the Primula Garden, home to many drumstick and candelabra primulas as well as hostas and paeonies. There are taller plants too.
