Deploying » AWWY?
http://www.arewewebyet.org/topics/deploy
How are on quick and easy deploying of our applications into existing server infrastructures? Well, stuff is looking quite good actually. You didn’t really expect Heroku to support rust natively, did you? But if you are looking at this subject, you probably are familiar with running heroku with an inofficial buildpack. In that case, you are in a lot of luck, because EMK. Provides that for you already: github.com/emk/heroku-buildpack-rust. There are a few docker images for rust, but only Scorpils.
En- & Decoding » AWWY?
http://www.arewewebyet.org/topics/encoding
Encoding is one of those things you don’t really want to bother about, but just rely on a well tested library for there are just too many edge and quirky cases. Luckily, as a system language, this is one of the things rust shines at and offers a set of nice packages already. Character encoding support for Rust. Encodes and decodes base64 as bytes or utf8. Decoding middleware for url-encoded data. For use with Iron. An HTTP2 frame parser. Binary data encoding and I/O. A library implementing HPACK coding.
Serializers » AWWY?
http://www.arewewebyet.org/topics/serializer
Serializers allow you to easily transfer states and reliably get it back important not only when working with JSON but also backbone of many types of worker-queue systems. Rust has good support for serializers, yet not many are web-tested. A generic serialization/deserialization framework. Generic serialization/deserialization support corresponding to the `derive(RustcEncodable, RustcDecodable)` mode in the compiler. Also includes support for hex, base64, and json encoding and decoding.
Syndication/RSS » AWWY?
http://www.arewewebyet.org/topics/syndication
To spread the information syndication has often be announced dead just to still stick around. Parse and generating good RSS isn’t especially hard, but also something you don’t necessarily want to have to do yourself. There are some libraries and packages to help you with that. Library for serializing the RSS web content syndication format. Library for serializing Atom and RSS web feeds. Library for serializing the Atom web content syndication format. Do you know something we don't?
Web Development Frameworks » AWWY?
http://www.arewewebyet.org/topics/frameworks
When building a modern web-application you don’t want to bother on how to parse the http-header or where the route is supposed to be dispatched to. Frameworks offer exactly those features and make it quick’n’easy to build your specific app on the web-stack. Common HTTP server interface. Extensible, Concurrency Focused Web Development in Rust. 1 Comments click to toggle. On version 0.1.20. An express.js inspired web framework. Part 3 - Crates, Modules and the web. Rust on the web. So far in this series we have learned the basic data types available in Rust and how to use them, we have learned about ownership and borrowing. We have built 2 iterations of a todo-list, but we have done all of this without leaving the command line. It's soon time to a...
Using Rust for Webdev as a Hobby Programmer · Neikos' Blog
http://neikos.me/Using_Rust_for_Webdev_as_a_Hobby_Programmer.html
Mdash; Talking about my work and leisure. Using Rust for Webdev as a Hobby Programmer. RoR had so many features out of the box that I used, it just worked at first. But then came the pitfalls of dynamic frameworks: indirection over indirection over indirection. Which I believe is a case of If you make it possible, people will use it. This indirection is what causes the hours upon hours of debugging spent on why when removing a part from A it breaks B. A few months back I found the page arewewebyet.org.

Clan Aww
Aww is 1 year old. December 25, 2008. Ok league match , also first ever match against CM1. Score: 4-2 (Win to Aww). Both teams started out cautiously, no one venturing forth. Then suddenly a lapse of concentration saw CM1 bring the flag out onto the bridge. This woke the babies up, and a fierce battle for the intel ensued on the bridge. Just when it all seemed lost, Aww.Pauly managed to somehow stealth pass CM1 and grab the flag from right beneath their noses! Halftime score ended 2-1. May 11, 2008.
