My Adventure Across the United States. I’ve scoured the Internet for equipment advice on forums or blogs from others who have completed trips similar to what I have in mind. Here’s a list of what I’ve compiled so far:. Masi Speciale CX Uno Steel Touring Frame (8 speed). Lights (front and rear; double as flashlight). Banjo Brothers Handlebar Bag (waterproof). 3 inner tubes, plus glue patch kit. 2 pairs of cycling shorts (different brands, different seams). 1 pair of nylon shorts. 1 long sleeve shirt.

By this time next month I’ll have sold my car and already begun living out of my backpack. I’m taking a one way flight to San Diego on April 9 to hike the Pacific Crest Trail (which connects the U.S. border of Mexico to the U.S. border of Canada). There will be a blog like my bike trip. My Adventure Across the United States. August 16, 2011. Today presented probably the most stimulating ride thus far. The ride from Olypmia to Redmond was a maze through the cityscape. I was all over the metropolitan area; that’s really the best way to put it. It was a wild day. The traffic was stressful at times.
