Review: Tokai Sushi: tampatastes

Perry F. Bruns (. Perry F. Bruns. Icky Yucky Sushi," Garrison Keillor. Plus, it allows you to inspect the goods without being nosy. You'll also notice that the prep area is kept spotless at all times. At this point, I should probably break and explain the seasonings and garnishes served on or near your sushi. Depending on how you use them, they can be a distraction, a comfort, another source of anxiety, or a practical joke. Here's the deal:. Seaweed Salad: This is served as a garnish alongside the crab s...

Tsunami Tsucks: tampatastes
http://tampatastes.livejournal.com/5191.html
One of the rules of Tampa Tastes is we don't review chain restaurants. If you've been to one TGIFridays, you know what the food is like in pretty much any TGIFridays. However, since I am moderator I can bend the rules. and this is less of a review than a public service announcement. Tsunami has the worse sushi of any restaurant my husband and I have been to in Tampa. My husband gave this a C-, I gave it a D. If you want sushi in Brandon, may I recommend:. 10115 Adamo Drive Brandon Crossings.

The Proud Lion, 124 W Fletcher Avenue (813-915-1101). 124 W FLETCHER AVE. TAMPA, FL 33612. I drove by the Proud Lion for years without venturing inside, and I could just kick myself for all the meals I've missed. The Proud Lion is modeled after an English pub, and it succeeds in atmosphere. The servers are quite friendly and have great memories - on one occasion, a month or two after we'd last visited the restaurant, we were greeted by a server who said "Sweet tea and a water with lemon, right?

Fuego: tampatastes
http://tampatastes.livejournal.com/7020.html
Let me first say that Fuego is one of those restaurants that you will either love or hate. If what you want is charming decor and a plate of searing hot food made to order brought straight to your table. please go someplace else. Fuego is a Churrascaria style restaurant, that turns into a Night club late evenings. As a result, the tables are meant to be picked up and moved and the decor is minimal. I don't dance, so I can't critique that side of things. My best friend adores the Parmasagne chicken. M...

Jasmine Thai - 1947 W Lumsden Rd, Brandon, FL 33511-8820, (813) 662-3635. Food prices are reasonable for a 'date' restaurant. Figure about $25/person, a little less for lunch. My husband and I shared the steamed dumpling appetizer, which arrived with five of the plumpest steamed dumplings I've ever seen. Post a new comment. We will log you in after post. Review: Crazy Buffet: tampatastes
http://tampatastes.livejournal.com/3328.html
Perry F. Bruns (. Perry F. Bruns. Eat It," Weird Al Yankovic. Buffet food is difficult to prepare. Make too little, and you have complaints about not being able to find favorite dishes. Make too much, and you either risk serving warmed-over chow, or wasting it. By mixing expert timing with live while-you-wait chefs and sushi chefs, Crazy Buffet manages to keep its huge variety fresh. The Good: Outstanding sushi quality and selection; preparation, service, and attention to detail far beyond other buffets.

Review: Wasabi Japanese Restaurant: tampatastes
http://tampatastes.livejournal.com/6582.html
Perry F. Bruns (. Perry F. Bruns. I'm Turning Japanese," The Vapors. Review: Wasabi Japanese Restaurant. Part One: The Sushi Dining Room. I love sushi, and I love hole-in-the-wall-in-the-strip-mall sushi joints. As such, when Wasabi opened as an upscale stand-alone location, I found myself a tiny bit skeptical. Upscale venues generally mean upscale prices. In this case, however, prices are generally in line with smaller, less classy locations for the most part. Hmmm Make that a large fortune. While f...

Perry F. Bruns (. Perry F. Bruns. Eat 'em and Smile," David Lee Roth. Food on a Stick: The Culinary Traditions of The Florida State Fair. You've probably heard the term "fair food" before. It may be one of the few slang terms in the English language that actually has multiple meanings that conflict on at least two levels. It covers food you can get at a fair but generally, it's about the least fair food you can find. That is by far the best corn dog I have ever tasted! I have, however, tasted one and sai...
