Argyre Planitia is a plain located in the Argyre impact basin in the southern highlands of Mars. Its name comes from a map produced by Giovanni Schiaparelli in 1877; it refers to Argyre, a mythical island of silver in Greek mythology. In Greek and Roman mythology, Argyre was a mythical island of silver, located in the east. The name comes from the Greek argyros (silver). The origin of the myth is the Burmese coastal area of Arakan. Argyraurae (Argyros) - Language - Greek for 'silver'.

Το Αργύρι - Εισαγωγή
Οι αναμνήσεις και τα βιώματα από παιδικές μνήμες έρχονται συνέχεια στην σκέψη, αν και βρισκόμαστε οι πιο πολλοί περιτριγυρισμένοι από ψηλά τσιμεντένια κτίρια. Καμιά φορά ξεχνιόμαστε και ταξιδεύουμε στις αγαπημένες μας βουνοκορφές της "Μερμιντζάλας" στην "λάκκα τ Αϊλια" στις "κλειδέρες" και σίγουρα αν μας δινόταν η ευκαιρία να αφήσουμε τις υποχρεώσεις μας και να γυρίσουμε στα μέρη που ζούσαν και ζούνε οι προγονοί μας, οι παππούδες, οι γιαγιάδες και οι γονείς μας, θα το κάναμε αμέσως με περίσσια χαρά.
