Reading, Riding, Drinking: First Ski
http://booksbikesbeer.blogspot.com/2009/12/second-tracks.html
Reading, Riding, Drinking. Tuesday, December 8, 2009. We've been getting some steady, light snow all day. So after work I headed out to Ashton for some skiing. I was doubly excited because not only was it my first ski, but I also had a super cool new camera in my pocket. A great birthday gift from the Stephen family. A few people got there first, so I had some tracks to follow. Eventually I caught up to them and was surprised to see it was Sean. Hooray for feeling great! December 13, 2009 at 7:56 AM.

Baby Mama - dedicated to invisible countries. 22 May 2008 @ 10:51 am. After a few gaffs about not remembering who I've told, I've decided to make a major announcement online. Yes folks, I'm pregnant! I'm in the middle of week 14 (or 15, depending on how we're counting) and due around November 17. I'd write more, but it's back to work for me. 14 comments Leave a comment. Reading, Riding, Drinking: April 2009
http://booksbikesbeer.blogspot.com/2009_04_01_archive.html
Reading, Riding, Drinking. Thursday, April 16, 2009. On this beautiful Thursday morning, at about 7:45, I was surprised to see that I was the ninth cyclist rolling down College St. toward downtown, work, school, or wherever. I know part of this is certainly due to the fact that spring seems sprung, but I also hope last night's highly successful bike rally. In Des Moines was a part of it, too. For such rallies does not increase. In the meantime I'll keep living the daily bike life here in Iowa City. Hopef...

Reading, Riding, Drinking: February 2010
http://booksbikesbeer.blogspot.com/2010_02_01_archive.html
Reading, Riding, Drinking. Saturday, February 13, 2010. The rest of my time has been spent horse shopping. After nearly two years of riding Steen with Robin we started to talk about getting another horse. We rode this nice Paint. First, but he was big and sluggish and expensive and he might have been lame. Then we rode this very goofy looking and slightly untrained Saddlebred-Paint-Arabian. He was too much horse for me. Finally we went to the Meyer Horse Co. Links to this post. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

The Kitty Litter Of BattleCatt. 50 Cents A Pop. New Orleans Day Three. Cattasha; Russian Mail Order Monkey-Bride. New Orleans Day Three. There is simply nothing like ending a hot day of walking around New Orleans by relaxing in a pool at 10 pm, floating on your back and looking up at the palm trees as the clouds rush by. Surreal, and so relaxing. After being a right regular 'Napoolean' (Paulie's ingenious term for my persistent Let's Go Swimming! 20th-May-2011 05:50 am (UTC). 20th-May-2011 06:08 am (UTC).

Reading, Riding, Drinking: March 2010
http://booksbikesbeer.blogspot.com/2010_03_01_archive.html
Reading, Riding, Drinking. Monday, March 8, 2010. Free Burgers and Beer. After a lovely weekend with my parents visiting, Robin and I went for a walk to the library and grocery store on a cloudy but relatively warm Sunday afternoon. On the way we found 30 dollars in the street. We didn't really know what to do with it at first, as anyone could feasibly claim it was theirs. And with no one really about, we decided to go out for happy hour. Links to this post. Monday, March 1, 2010. 8 Layers of kick wax...

Reading, Riding, Drinking: May 2009
http://booksbikesbeer.blogspot.com/2009_05_01_archive.html
Reading, Riding, Drinking. Wednesday, May 6, 2009. A Little German in Me. My beer explorations have steadily continued this week. Monday was my night to cook dinner, and before picking up the food I made a trip to John's beer room. For the liquid. One of their knowledgeable staff members was there giving out samples of Weihenstephener Korbinian. A rather tasty doppelbock that I picked up) and their Hefeweizen. It tasted like a pretty good Hefe, but I am not really a fan of those, so I passed on it. Which...
