Arizona Fly Guy: East Clear Creek 03-09

http://www.arizonaflyguy.blogspot.com/2009/04/east-clear-creek-03-09.html

Wednesday, April 15, 2009. East Clear Creek 03-09. My buddy Antonio and I "hiked" down the canyon to the stream. I say "hiked" because it was more of a controlled fall down that steep rockface. However, once down there we did not see a soul around which is great for a Saturday! It was a little slow at first so we built a fire to stay warm until the sun was high and the bite turned on! When it did, it was great! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile. East Clear Creek 03-09.

Wednesday, May 6, 2009. Had a lovely day up on the Catch and Release section of Canyon recently. The sun was shining and the bite was on. We headed up around five and were fishing by seven, and. Antonio caught the first fish about five minutes into it and it was a big fat BOW! We ran into an AZGFD employee and he told us they haven't stocked bows in the C&R section for three years! Steve Longshore's Fishing Adventures. Sunday, April 12, 2009. It Doesn't Get Better Than This! So it’s Easter Sunday. Church is done and Lindie, Raegan, Ryan and myself are at the park walking the dog. The weather is absolutely beautiful and none of us are looking forward. We didn’t get there until about 1pm. Parked the truck and basically ran down to the creek. I didn’t even take a fly rod for myself, just a coupl. Onally proud of both of them. Bring the camera. She ran the camera down to us and we ...

Steve Longshore's Fishing Adventures. Wednesday, April 29, 2009. Canyon Creek - April 28, 2009. Thing As I was hiking I saw a guy in a blue shirt down the creek a few hundred yards. I didn’t pay much attention to him as I was interested in fishing this small run. I was seeing fish at the bottom. As I was wading and casting I could see more fish swirling around. Then I heard this, “Hey Steve! One of the things B. He ended up meas. Uring 16 ¼ inches and had some girth! After getting this brut to the net I ...

Steve Longshore's Fishing Adventures: Bear Flats - Cinco De Mayo

http://longshorefishing.blogspot.com/2009/05/bear-flats-cinco-de-mayo.html

Steve Longshore's Fishing Adventures. Wednesday, May 6, 2009. Bear Flats - Cinco De Mayo. So we start headi. From there we mo. Ved upstream and found a nice little run. Again the water was so clear you could see fish everywhere. There was probably 10 or 12 fish in this run with one really big one that probably would have measured 17 to 18 inches easily. I waded downstream to cast over the fish and Mike worked them from shoreline. I caught 2 or 3 of the smaller ones from that. May 6, 2009 at 10:52 PM.

Steve Longshore's Fishing Adventures. Sunday, February 22, 2009. Tonto Creek February 21, 2009. I met my good friend, Nate Green, up in Payson, AZ this morning. I jumped in his Jeep and we headed off to Tonto Creek about 20 or 30 minutes from town. The weather was absolutely perfect. It was about 50 degrees, clear skies with some snow on the ground. I was pretty excited because this one of the first few times that I have fly fished on a creek. Ting late in the afternoon now so we headed back up the creek...
