Ghosts of Fort Knox. This section deals with vehicles and weapons that are now in the National Armor and Cavalry Museum (NACM) or the Patton Museum of Leadership. Some of these vehicles were once in the Patton Museum of Cavalry and Armor collection before being transferred to NACM while others came from the Aberdeen Proving Ground (APG) collection. Ghosts of Fort Knox. Besides housing the Patton Museum of Cavalry and Armor collection, NACM also has received several vehicles from Aberdeen Proving Grounds, Fort Snelling, Anniston Army Depot and other posts. Some are rare and some are one-of-a-kind. Stored inside the main motor pool building is this M8 armored car and two M3A1 Stuart light tanks behind it. Ghosts of Fort Knox. After many years it was realized that the old structure on Old Ironsides Avenue was not adequate to house and properly display the growing collection. The building was not climate controlled and required constant maintenance. The Patton Museum Foundation, charged with collecting private and corporate donations, decided it was time to build a more modern venue. German SdKfz 223 armored car on display in Keyes Park c. 1973. The vignette is to be set during the Napoleonic Wars depicting an officer of the Chasseurs a Cheval of the Guard and a staff officer on reconaissance. It took me awhile to come up the look I wanted.
