CANON|ARCH670|UMD: final animation
http://canon670umd.blogspot.com/2009/05/final-animation.html
Making this animation brought me great joy. using final cut was great, i had never used it before and was suprised by how easy it was! Will this building make them happy? Will they want to keep it around for a long time? Why can't they just say "i like it! October 28, 2009 at 11:00 AM. Hello hapi blogging. have a nice day! March 2, 2010 at 11:30 PM. CANON|ARCH670|UMD: horizontal still frame diagram
http://canon670umd.blogspot.com/2009/05/horizontal-still-frame-diagram.html
Horizontal still frame diagram. Turning the still frame diagram horizontal (90 degrees counterclockwise) we have more of a temporal representation of the scene. the scene stills were taken every 2.5 seconds which is shown at the top. And by markers at the bottom as well. This is similar to OMA's flag for the european union, which they created by combining the colors of all the EU countries flags. it is also a sort of bar code that brands this group of countries. Tuesday, March 31, 2009. Photos of my Tile -Final Constructs. In this iteration of the tile I wanted to take the rotational form of the original tile and extend it in the z direction in order to capture more space. I felt the first tile was somewhat flat in its physical construct. Monday, March 2, 2009. This is one of my previous attempts. Here is a second version of the matrix study. In this attempt I took two different portions of the hood bumper area and played with reversing the direction of the curve.

http://canon670umd.blogspot.com/2009_02_01_archive.html
Here are a series of images of the car object in a matrix. by examining the model in different views, spatial patterns emerge. the next part of my investigation will involve manipulating the geometries of this compound curve that will provide clues as to the digital construction of this object. this will add visual interest and complexity to the matrix. Tuesday, March 24, 2009. A few last thoughts. This is the second go at the tile, first one that went through the printer. the base is nice and sturdy, but the rest did not quite work out. Monday, March 23, 2009. Finally.a tile that works. I decided to leave the overhanging pieces on, only because this is the only possible way to print it. after its made i will decide whether to cut/sand the edges off or leave it as is. Monday, March 2, 2009. Line to surface patterned tile. The problem with this first att...

Tile pieces physical constructs. These tile peices were created from a unit of geometry distilled from the car studies, morphological matrix and patterning exercizes. the first was "designed" in the sense that i conceived of an idea and carried that out, while the second resulted from a programming mentality. Tile final printed iteration. This craziness was created in photoshop by multiplication. Pattern interation from deconstructed matrix. New model piece matrix. The geometry of this piece was by far t...
