Yesterday a huge avalanche struck Everest Base Camp and wiped out half off it; 18 people died and approx 25 got seriously injured. Our team was untouched though and we feel extremely lucky! Also all my other groups in the mountains are also safe and sound! We are staying put in Everest Base Camp at the moment, because its unclear what is the damage in Kathmandu and other village on the way down. Arnold Coster, expedition Leader. Group of : 5. Team Arrived in Everest-Lhotse Base Camp. When our team arrived in Lobuje the weather finally improved. During our whole trek in the weather was not very nice and didn’t see many views. Normally the acclimatization hike from Dingboche village is just on trails; this time it was all on sow, but nevertheless fun! From Lobuje village it’s just a 3-4 Hour hike to Everest Lhotse Base Camp and we all reached there at lunch time. Our Master Chef “Sukra Tamang” prepared a delicious lunch fo...Group of : 5.

Team is enjoying Namche Bazar. Our arrival in Lukla went smooth and on schedule; the weather was perfect! After a tasty breakfast we left the small town and headed to Phakding where we spend our first night on the trail and the next day we headed to the Sherpa capital Namche Bazar at around 3400m. Namche almost became my 2. In Panboche we will get our Expedition blessing from Lama Geshi and continue to Dingboche at 4400m where we again have two rest days. Arnold Coster, Expedition Leader. Cho Oyu wordt Manaslu! Zoals al eerder verteld is de expeditie naar Nepal verplaatst naar September 2016 vanwege te weinig deelnemers.
