I haven't posted lately, just because there hasn't been much going on, and nothing new to report. As of right now I haven't gotten an exact departure date, but have been told it will be sometime between August 8-12. Should make for an interesting birthday for me on August 9! Saturday, 28 July 2012. The Abu Dhabi Bulge. I have been on a diet for the last 6 months and have managed to lose 30lbs. I am happy about this. In the last month however I have put back on 5lbs. Saturday, December 29, 2012. Trip to Ras al Khaimah. Before Christmas we spent a few days in Ras al Khaimah (aka RAK), which is another emirate in the UAE known for its beautiful beaches. It only took a little over 2 hours to get there and we spent 3 glorious days in the 80 degree sunshine. Mark got me a new (and better) camera and surprised me before the trip so prepare yourself for lots of pictures in the near future! The beautiful Hilton Resort and Spa. With the Hajjar Mountains in the background.

And we are so far from home, but we're so happy. I've been thinking for a few days how I'd say this. But I'm just going to go out and be clear: this is my last post here on this blog. This blog has held my graduation, my healing from death and my past, my falling in love, my mission trip, my engagement, and my marriage. I've written here in the perks of happiness and in the depths of depression. It's been a piece of life I never want to forget. But it's time to move on. Yet for now, I'm closing the book.
