Arran Outdoor Centre is located shoreside in the Clauchlands area of the beautiful village of Lamlash. This ancient village just south of Brodick is nestled in its own sheltered bay overlooking the Holy Isle. It has an impressive maritime history dating back to the Vikings. The Centre is large, contemporary and purpose built for outdoor activities and it fits perfectly into the countryside that surrounds it. What exactly is abseiling? Abseiling involves descending down a crag using climbing equipment, which we provide here at the centre. AOEC runs half day and full day mountain biking sessions for people of primary 7 age upwards. The sessions are tailored for all abilities and fitness levels and take place around Arrans many and expanding trails and routes, and ranges from forestry tracks and paths to single track trails.

An over-indulgence of anything, even something as pure as water, can intoxicate. Gorge walking is all about getting thoroughly soaked and enjoying the experience. The journey starts by wading through water. Then you will get the chance to scramble up waterfalls, slide down on natural flumes and jump off cliffs into the water below. Arran Outdoor Centre use North Glen Sannox burn - with its many waterfalls, deep pools and breathtaking views - it is a great place to have fun getting wet.
