My husband and I attempted to walk around Mt Rainier in June 1960. However that was a bad snow year and we were unable to make the complete trip. Camped under trees instead of instead of in open as snow was too deep. I have some black and white pictures that I look at and compare that trip to the wonderful benifits provideed to hikers today.
