Quilting Bibliophagist: DAGMT Update and Invasion of the Dolls
http://quiltingbibliophagist.blogspot.com/2014/02/dagmt-update-and-invasion-of-dolls.html
When I'm not reading, I quilt. Thursday, February 27, 2014. DAGMT Update and Invasion of the Dolls. February is nearly over, so it seems a good time to take stock of Drop And Give Me Twenty 2014. The first half of the month was fantastic! In a previous post. I wrote about how much I've enjoyed sewing clothes for my granddaughters' American Girl dolls. But I originally fell for American Girl a long, long time ago - when they first came out in the mid '80s . But I couldn't justify ever buying a doll for my...

Quilting Bibliophagist: More Fun With Dolls
http://quiltingbibliophagist.blogspot.com/2014/03/more-fun-with-dolls.html
When I'm not reading, I quilt. Friday, February 28, 2014. More Fun With Dolls. Here's a cute little apron and pot holder sized for an 18" doll. The Sweetheart Apron pattern was designed by Laura Johnson. It's fully lined, has a real pocket, and is very easy to sew. You can download a free copy. Of the pattern here. The tutorial for the potholder. Is at Pixiefair.com. In fact, my hunch was recently confirmed; my little niece has this same doll, but her hair was in a dreadful. Welcome to the doll spa!

Sabbath Supper: New Tried and True Series
http://sabbathsupper.blogspot.com/2013/02/new-tried-and-true-series.html
A cooking and baking journal. New Tried and True Series. Friday, February 08, 2013. I've been mulling over in my mind an idea I came up with a couple weeks ago. In a nutshell, it is a series of blog posts where each post will have the slogan: "Tried and True Recipe." Or "TNT" for short. So what makes a tried and true recipe? Years ago when Sabbath Supper was just starting out, I used to post each week what I cooked/baked on Sunday afternoon. That's where the name came from! Later in the year I started se...

Sabbath Supper: Ciabatta Bread Pizza
http://sabbathsupper.blogspot.com/2011/01/ciabatta-bread-pizza.html
A cooking and baking journal. Saturday, January 29, 2011. 1/24/11: Ciabatta Bread Pizza. Pizza with a Ciabatta bread crust, homemade pizza sauce, and a pepper, pepperoni, and cheese topping. First time for us to try out Ciabatta bread, which, by the way, is an Italian bread that is usually used when making panini. The interior of the bread has very large holes so it a great candidate for soaking in flavors like olive oil. The pizza sauce was concocted by me, so read on to find it! 2 tbsp. white sugar.

Quilting Bibliophagist: DaGMT 2014
http://quiltingbibliophagist.blogspot.com/2014/01/dagmt-2014.html
When I'm not reading, I quilt. Friday, January 31, 2014. I like listening to episodes of Bonnie Hunter's Quilt Cam. She also urged her listeners to make a push this year to actually finish things and to reexamine our piles of UFOs and decide whether or not we really want. Then when I discovered the "Drop and Give Me Twenty" challenge at Quilting Hottie Haven. Everything just clicked. Beth Helfter is challenging quilters to quilt for at least twenty minutes a day during February. Glad to have you along!

Quilting Bibliophagist: March 2014
http://quiltingbibliophagist.blogspot.com/2014_03_01_archive.html
When I'm not reading, I quilt. Sunday, March 2, 2014. 7 Posts in 7 Days - Final Edition. The depressing thing about doing Stash Reports is that I'm such a slow quilter that I hardly ever get to record any fabric used. A lot of things are in progress, but the only one I've finished is a sun dress for my niece's doll which used up a mere quarter of a yard. Quite a lot of fabric came in this week, but they were all thrifty purchases. At the thrift store I found 2 yards of this print for only $1.90. I find m...

Quilting Bibliophagist: September 2011
http://quiltingbibliophagist.blogspot.com/2011_09_01_archive.html
When I'm not reading, I quilt. Tuesday, September 27, 2011. The Bad Before, Continued. The reorganization of the sewing room is still in progress. Here a second set of pictures pictures which I meant to post soon after The Bad Before. This is my so-called living room. It's really an annex of the sewing room because the only living I do in here is quilt making. I don't even own a couch. I have even more of these boxes stacked in my bedroom. Eek! Well, now that you've seen the bad "before" pictures, I look...

Sabbath Supper: A New Course
http://sabbathsupper.blogspot.com/2014/10/a-new-course_19.html
A cooking and baking journal. Sunday, October 19, 2014. I would like to have this blog go beyond the new recipe I just found, or the old-favorite dish I just unearthed. I'm taking a new course in my life (career oriented), and I would like to write about it and hopefully you all will find it interesting, endearing, exciting, or just something that will rock your boat! OK, that sounded mysterious! The blog, Sabbath Supper. You just can't get around that! But these moments didn't last for more than two day...
