Artist Gardeners link with Simon in Nigeria. Friday, June 16, 2006. The farm is mainly for growing mangos. There were different size mangos. Some mangos were very sweet! Sugar cane and chilli pepper are grown together. This cover is made from plants. It protects the seedlings from the heavy rains. The farmers also want to catch fish. The river is blocked by this net. Artist Gardeners link with Simon in Nigeria. Thursday, April 20, 2006. The hills around Jos. Here are the hills near Jos. Jos is in the highest part of Nigeria, in the Jos Plateau. I went for a walk with some people from an organisation who are trying to conserve the landscape. They also hope that more local people and tourists will be interested in walking in the hills. During the 1800's people hid up in the hills as they were being attacked. Here you can see where they used to make iron objects.

Some are large, about as long as two hands. Para; 3:05 pm. Morning time in Kaduna. The weather here is hot and cold. In the morning it is quite cold. This is the view from my house in the morning at 6 am. Para; 2:53 pm. Add something new. Then you will see it on the left.

A lot of oil companies are based here. A market in Port Harcourt. Kaduna in the evening. The river in Kaduna, it flows through the city.

Tuesday, May 02, 2006. There is a good Human Rights Watch report on the marginalisation and tension created by the indigene/ settler issue in Nigeria at:. The label that people are given can greatly effect their access to services, employment and political positions among other things. This issue has also contributed to the violent events that have taken place in recent years. It is an issue that doesn't involve me personally as an outsider and am very well looked after here so no need to worry :-).
