What's For Dinner?

Friday, February 19, 2010. This is something I learned to make while I was in high school during my Foods classes. I absolutely loved this class and the teacher, Mrs. Ruggles. I learned a lot from her and this was one of the dishes she showed us how to make. 4-5 boneless chicken breasts. Package of thinly sliced ham. Pound chicken breasts out as much as possible without mutilating it. This will allow more room for the stuffing. Then place desired amount of ham and swiss. Saturday, January 30, 2010. Heat ...

What's For Dinner?: Layered Fiesta Casserole

http://www.atleasticook.blogspot.com/2010/01/layered-fiesta-casserole.html

Saturday, January 30, 2010. This recipe wasn't bad but when I make it again I'm going to use flour tortillas instead of corn. I honestly don't like the way corn tortillas taste but wanted to give it a chance first. Otherwise the casserole wasn't too bad. 1 lb extra-lean ground beef. 1 green pepper, chopped. 1 red pepper, chopped. 1 jar (16 oz.) TACO BELL HOME ORIGINALS Thick 'N Chunky Salsa. 1 can (14-1/2 oz.) diced tomatoes, undrained. 1 pkg (10 oz.) frozen corn, thawed 12 corn tortillas (6 inch).

What's For Dinner?: Chicken Fried Chops

http://www.atleasticook.blogspot.com/2009/12/chicken-fried-chops.html

Saturday, December 26, 2009. My mom had given me a Taste of Home slow cooker cookbook for my birthday and I found this yummy recipe. It was super easy and oh so tasty! 1/2 cup all purpose flour. 1-1/2 teaspoons ground mustard. 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder. 6 pork loin chops (3/4 inch thick), trimmed. 2 tablespoons vegetable oil. 1 can (10-3/4 ounces) condensed cream of chicken soup, undiluted. Combine soup and water; pour over chops. Gravy I made with the pan juices. It was one of the best gravies.

What's For Dinner?: What a Beauty!

http://www.atleasticook.blogspot.com/2009/11/what-beauty.html

Saturday, November 28, 2009. This little gem was a surprise gift from my brother-in-law Craig. Last night at our Thanksgiving dinner I was asked if I had a mixer. Well, I did but it was just a very inexpensive hand mixer. I then turned around and what to my eyes did I see.a 1960's vintage Hamilton Beach Stand Mixer! I can't wait to make a cake and the first cake I make will be for Craig! Thanks Craig, who knew a mixer could make a girl so happy! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile.

Miss Mattie: Iowa State Fair!!!

http://mattieeileen.blogspot.com/2011/09/iowa-state-fair.html

Monday, September 12, 2011. Firefighter Mattie to the rescue! Mattie and Mommy as we are about to go up in the big ferris. We're up there somewhere. Mattie's prize for winning at the duck pond. Playing in the fountains. Anxiously waiting for the next splash. Watching the swans and ducks. Standing in front of an actual eagle's nest. First corn dog of the day. Mattie is sitting on an Iowa/Iowa State ceramic cow and can't decide which team to choose. Sitting on a caucus cow. Spin art; a family tradition.

Tuesday, September 13, 2011. Cuckoo and Pa invited us all to Emerson, IA, for breakfast one morning and to visit the Indian Creek Museum. The breakfast was yummy and Mattie loved looking at the old cars, stoves and washing machines. Plus there was an old log house and a one room school room to explore. Mattie is leading the way with Tanner and Cousin Mia. Checking out the upstairs in the old log cabin. Time for school Uncle Tom. Mattie and Grandma Geri are ready for school. Did I miss anything?
