The Knowledge Development Box (‘KDB’) will be introduced in the Finance Bill. A corporation tax rate of 6.25% will apply to profits arising from certain intellectual property assets - these profits must arise from qualifying research and development activities performed in Ireland. The EII will now include expansion work on existing nursing homes. The corporation tax relief for new start up companies has been extended to 2018.
