At the green mailbox. February 28, 2016. So all of us here in Philadelphia just experienced the most magnificent weekend ever, weather-wise. The sun was shining, it was windy but not too cold (to the point where shorts were bearable, as long as you were moving! Luckily, all things that had to get done this weekend were things that could afford to get pushed back a bit, so we were able to get outside and enjoy the weather a bit. Carolena- I think that's your building in the background! Have a great week!

At the green mailbox. January 31, 2016. 10am, Saturday morning. I know winter storms affect cities all along the East Coast, but Philadelphia does snow right. The snow blankets the city and dulls it - everything is white and quiet. People on the streets are calmer and just more friendly. AND, because it doesn't snow that often (some winters we don't even get snow! The city doesn't salt the roads the night before so we often get snow days post-storm. In other words. no school! Those were the times. :).
