Tuesday, 3 July 2012. We only spent twenty four hours at Brixham last weekend ,but being by the sea if only for a short time makes you feel good. The town was celebrating The Festival Of The Sea. Http:/ www.englishriviera.co.uk/whats-on/festival-of-the-sea-p407963. And I decided this was the year I would walk up to All Saints church to see the displays. I was so glad that I did as I was given a very warm welcome . There were many displays around the church including a art exhibition. I was then asked if ...

Tin Can Tart: May
http://tincantart.blogspot.com/2013/06/may.html
Saturday, 8 June 2013. Once upon a time I blogged daily ,now I can only manage once a month and even then I do not have much to say. May started with the annual Pirate Festival in Brixham, Devon http:/ www.brixhampiratefestival.co.uk/. This is growing each year with many travelling a long way to join in the fun. Miss X spent the day in her pirate outfit. And so did Master M. And this year the weather was wonderful. Http:/ greenwayferry.co.uk/2012/dartmouth-river-cruise/. And other flowers in the fields.

Saturday, 9 June 2012. Diamond Jubilee And A Big Red Ball. We spent the Jubilee weekend in Brixham ,Devon the town was also holding its first Brixfest which was replacing the heritage Festival. Saturday was wet and overcast but nowhere near as bad as other parts of the country. The heritage sailing trawlers took part in their annual race ,even in the mist and cloud it was wonderful to see these vintage trawlers and their traditional red sails. Unfortunately this coincided with torrential rain. Until I sa...

Sunday, 4 November 2012. Out With The Old ,And Kansas Inspiration. Inspired once again by ReNae http:/ crabtree-creations.blogspot.co.uk/ I made a Halloween banner, Not having the supplies ReNae used I created my own version. Of course once again it was made using mainly Sizzix dies. The moon was made from acetate so that a light could be put behind. First to go was most of my paper scrap collection, which had grown to fill a large box on wheels. Then I started on the rest of the room. Just the kitchen l...

Caatje's Artsy Stuff: Scenes from the Midori Calendar

Monday, May 11, 2015. Scenes from the Midori Calendar. I swear I've never been so in love with a notebook/calendar combination as I am with my Midori Traveler's Notebook. I have three inserts in there and they all get used, but the one that gets decorated like crazy is the calendar insert. And when I say 'crazy' I really do mean ' crazy. Maybe I'm making up for high school when I did make my own calendars, but they usually stayed quite pretty and neat and did not get filled to the brim like some of my fe...

Sunday, 28 October 2012. It has been six weeks since my last post, and it has been very eventful. My new Grandson was born on the planned date of 26th September by Cesarean section ,but like his big sister before him the birth was not as straightforward as we had hoped. When he came home no one was more delighted, than big sister little Miss X. As you can see she was and still is delighted. And Mr M is thriving although he will have to have regular checks on his lungs. I have found time to create some ar...

Sunday, 22 July 2012. Poppies And Other Things. We have had three months of almost non stop rain, and although it has done very little for tourism, and farmers it has helped our earth bunding blend in. You may remember back in March /April we formed a earth mound around our fields. We were having problems with Gypsies dumping sick and pregnant horses on our land. This was the damage they were doing to access the fields. And this was our response March. And Wilson tried his very best to join in. I have fift...
