Team Focus MTB 2010/2011. Tuesday, April 19, 2011. New 2011 Team race bike - Raven Team. I got the new bike back in Janurary. I havnt riden it much as the winter grim would kill the bike, but I am getting out on it a lot more now. A real nice bike, very light and mega still and fast. Thanks again to Aidan and Richi in Eurocycles, I hope I do the bike justice this year! Sun trip to Lanzarote - End March 2011. Its shit, dont go there. Team Focus MTB 2010/2011. Tuesday, April 27, 2010. XC NPS # 2 – Killarney – 25 April 2010. I had a good race, Evan and I played out the 1st half of the race together, than I put the head down and pulled a small gap and keep it going to the finish. Team Focus MTB 2010/2011. Monday, August 9, 2010. NI XC # 5, Castlewellan, Co. Down - 1st August 2010. Despite post nationals total body shutdown, I made my way to this race. You just cannot turn down the opportunity to race here, defo my favourite course I have ever ridden! After recent felling, they have had to build new tracks and further improve this already incredible course. Congrats to XMTB, amazing course, great day out.hope to be back at Castlewellan next year! Robin, Gar and I in the singletrack.

Team Focus MTB 2010/2011. Saturday, October 16, 2010. New team cyclocross bike – Mares CX1. There is nothing better than a good cross bike. I got the new team cross bike yesterday, Focus Mares CX1. Wow, what a bike. The tube shapes are really extreme, they would be extreme if they were on a mountain bike! BB30, 1 ½ lower headtube bearing, deep section carbons, Sram Force….all real nice. Very light and very stiff! I went straight out and put it to test on the Tuesday night cross training spin in Knocklyon.

Team Focus MTB 2010/2011. Tuesday, January 25, 2011. 2011 Irish Cyclocross Championships - Jan 2011. Grrrr, a lack of form before Christmas (booze, chocolates), coupled with a popped back, meant I chose to skip the nationals this year. Pity, as the reigning champ, I should have raced, but I would have been so far off the pace that I didn’t want to go. Congrats also to the race organizers, the event looked great, very well setup etc. No more cross now until next year, time to get fit for the MTB!

Team Focus MTB 2010/2011. Tuesday, May 10, 2011. Biking blitz – 3 Rock – 8th May 2011. I have been riding on 3rock for 22 years, so I had to be at the opening of Dublins first dedicated Mountain Bike trail! Coillte fininshed the short 7km look a couple of months ago, and this event was to mark the opening. Congrats to Niall and his team, smart event and very enjoyable. Team Focus MTB 2010/2011. Monday, January 24, 2011. Dec 2010 – MONSTER Snow. Mega snow here for the couple of weeks before Christmas. We had 1 day of no snow, then it went nuts again. 2ft of snow in my back garden! Biking was difficult,. I did a couple more spin in the snow, not too much. A great cross session on Stephens day in the snow with Robin, Mark and Andy. Then I popped my back fixing the tap in the kitchen, typical….knocked me out for a couple of week. Back of Marley park. Team Focus MTB 2010/2011. Wednesday, November 3, 2010. Finally, the rains came. Total deluge. the aftermate of out Tuesday night session.'because I'm worth it! Jet wash the bike, 5 mins, Jet wash me, 5 mins, jetwash the clothes, 15mins. Supercross Cup round # 1 - Tymon Park – Dublin – Oct 16th 2010. Oh god, the pain.
