September 3, 2014. September 25, 2014. Trigger shot – aka HCG shot. Two days prior to insemination, my doctor gave me a trigger shot to force ovulation. What I wasn’t prepared for was the massive amount of hormones flowing throughout my body several days later. My breasts were huge, my nipples even bigger (and SO sensitive) and the strangest thing of all, I had to have buffalo sauce at least once a day. Wings were desired for breakfast, lunch and dinner. July 3, 2014. August 27, 2014. Endometriosis – incurable bastard. Last week I went in for surgery after years of complaining to my OB about severe menstrual pain. I am angry because I remember being in such pain in high school and my mom would give me a Vicodin and send me on my way. Why didn’t the doctors think to look for something back then? Instead, I have suffered for over a decade. The first day or two of my cycle is hell and most of the time I can’t even get out of bed. After on the bottom left.

July 26, 2014. August 27, 2014. Medical Intervention – IUI – Round 1. Ross and I decided that since we have been trying for over 2.5 years that it was time for a medical intervention. Being that I have been taking every step to prepare my body for conception, I was ready. Having a baby is something that always just seemed natural to me. I never thought I would be where I am right now. I thought when we started to try, it would just happen. I mean, it does for so many others so why not me? July 3, 2014.

August 8, 2014. September 25, 2014. IUI and Two Week Wait. Our first round of insemination was yesterday but then we came back today for the second round and it was much more uncomfortable. My uterus had flipped and it was hard to get the speculum into my cervix to open it up, but I always try to stay positive and think of the gift that could come from such pain.
