A Walk to Yellowstone. The walk begins again tomorrow! Day 8 →. Day 7, back on the road. May 13, 2012. Finally made it back to the road thanks to my wonderful girlfriend, Caitlin. Made it to Paint Rock, TX today and found a small park to sleep for the night. Met a couple of neighbors that were busy moving things. Made it known to them who I was and why I was pitching a tent in the park. The reaction was good with a “That is really cool that you are walking to Yellowstone”. Posted in May 2012. Day 8 →.

A Walk to Yellowstone. Day 7, back on the road. Late night delivery →. May 14, 2012. Made it to Ballinger! Walked 17 miles starting at 7:30 and made it to my designated campsite for the day/night. Forecast said there was going to be thunderstorms starting around 3, glad I got here when I did. The road to Ballinger was fairly flat with the occasional hill or two. Made for easy walking. A Walk to Yellowstone. May 19, 2012. Unfortunately I will not be able to continue the walk. On Friday about 10 miles out of Roscoe, TX battling against the very strong winds of the north Texas plains, a very small shoulder and very heavy traffic going at least 70 mph I fell on my bad ankle again. I was just about to go to bed around 9 pm when I heard a mans voice ask, “Is there anybody home? 8221; My instant reaction was that it was a police officer wanting to ask me a question. I unzipped my tent door and there stood a 60-70ish year old man holding a bag. He mentioned that his wife saw me down here earlier today and that they figured I was hungry. A Walk to Yellowstone. Day 10 →. May 15, 2012. Made it another 16 miles to Winters, TX, where they enjoy all the seasons! Currently just set up the tent for the night in Ted Meyer Park. Wanted to thank Winters City Hall and Officer Randall Davis for letting me stay here for the night. There is another storm coming in today and it is already getting cloudy. So I am happy to have found a safe and comfortable spot for the night. Here is a photo of me crossing the bridge this morning heading to Winters.
