Baseball Without Borders: November 2008
http://baseballwithoutborders.blogspot.com/2008_11_01_archive.html
Tuesday, November 18, 2008. And vote they did. I don't know when I was last so shocked. I got the news while I was calling a friend. I was waiting for her to pick up when I opened my email, clicked the first message, and saw the news. I almost shouted, "OHMYGOD.". About a second after my friend picked up. "Oh I'm so sorry Gracie," she said, thinking I was talking about her. No, not you! I said. "Dustin Pedroia! PeDROIa," I said slowly and loudly. Ah, life is sweet, isn't it? Amazing might be an understat...

Thursday, February 22, 2007. FO Unwilling to Give it Up for Schilling. I really hate the fact that this. Has come up before the '07 season has officially begun. Selfishly, my biggest complaint is that this isn't right for the fans. I know that drama and baseball go hand in hand, but come on. Before we've even had a chance to get into things? Okay, so this is a business decision, right, Theo? Well, take a look out your window, son. Do you see a sea of great, capable pitchers out there? Was a huge success&...

Tuesday, July 31, 2007. Is finally available in Bun-O-Vision. I love this site. I could watch the JAWS parody all day. Posted by Kim at 4:20 AM. Sunday, July 29, 2007. I'll bet those golden tickets make the chocolate taste terrible. Jere and I went to see Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. Someone told me that when she went to a John Waters movie (I forget which one), they handed out little scratch and sniff cards. That's actually not a bad solution. Posted by Kim at 7:04 AM. Baseball Without Borders: April 2009
http://baseballwithoutborders.blogspot.com/2009_04_01_archive.html
Saturday, April 25, 2009. Baseball, Amsterdam Time - Part II. Or, How To Be A Nocturnal Baseball Fan. This entry is a little out of place here, because I published Part I. On my other blog last October: dealing with baseball games at inconvenient times. If the game starts at 7.05 PCT, then I can get up at 4:30 am and still catch the last few innings. If it's a day game, I can watch it here at 7 pm if it takes place on the West Coast, or 10 if it's on the East Coast - both entirely doable. I don't remembe...

Baseball Without Borders: September 2009
http://baseballwithoutborders.blogspot.com/2009_09_01_archive.html
Thursday, September 24, 2009. Baseball Love meets Book Love. I was just trying to catch up with my google reader list (467 items! And came across a story. The NY Times blog about books), about Novel-T. A company that makes literary-themed baseball t-shirts. Has a clever fantasy team roster up, with Hester Prynne at first, Thoreau in right field, and Sawyer on second (you'd think he'd be convincing his friends what fun it is there and once accomplished, he'd nudge Huck Finn out of the shortstop position!

Baseball Without Borders: A Man's World
http://baseballwithoutborders.blogspot.com/2009/10/mans-world.html
Tuesday, October 20, 2009. Photo from http:/ www.ericenders.com/wib.htm. This evening, I was checking one of my favorite baseball sites. To see if I could find inspiration for a post. I didn't find it there, exactly, but was led to a bit of wikipedia surfing by my curiosity about the Baseball World Cup. At the bottom of the page, I found a link to the Women's Baseball World Cup. I am shocked I haven't heard of or found out about this before! Will you look at that? A national baseball league for women.

Friday, March 23, 2007. Polish Need Not Apply. Note from the author: With all due respect and sensitivity, I am not taking anything at all away from the 6 million Jewish people who lost their lives so devastatingly during the Holocaust. As someone with Polish Christian roots, I find it hard to believe that I am just finding out, for the first time in my 35 years of living, that there were 2-3 million Polish Christians killed, also.).
