http://urbancrunchie.blogspot.com/2010/09/great-lessons-are-co-created-between.html
Urban Crunch with a side of Dazzle. Countdown until I lose it. Monday, September 13, 2010. Great lessons are co-created between students and teachers. I've decided that the three rules for being a great teacher are as follows;. 1 Do the right thing. 2 Say the right thing. 3 Do your best. If a teacher does and says the right thing and does their best they will be an amazing teacher. Of course, how one knows what the right. Thing is local, contextual, and impossible to fully plan. What worked, what didnt?

Urban Crunch with a side of Dazzle. Countdown until I lose it. Monday, November 05, 2007. I am totally beginning to live vicariously through Ben. I miss listening to music, going to concerts and hanging out with friends. I've decided to make Ben a little fan of Bowie and The Cure. Robert Smith never looked cuter. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Urban Crunch with a side of Dazzle. Countdown until I lose it. Sunday, January 04, 2009. A magical time exists each night. This is a time when I have complete control. I can choose to get work done, read, eat, watch TV, or anything else - baby free. This is the time between when my son falls asleep and when I go to bed. Theoretically, this can be really productive time. Functionally, this time becomes a complete waste. Case and point - at this very moment I am simultaneously perusing Facebook.

Urban Crunch with a side of Dazzle. Countdown until I lose it. Sunday, September 05, 2010. What worked, what didn't? First, I would like to start by saying that I am inappropriately obsessed with whether I should spell theatre. I am going with theatre. I actually think that theater. Is correct. Howe. Somehow seems more authentic. And, I believe that most people are too intimated to challenge that spelling. My first seminar class - another scheduling nightmare - Wednesday night from 5:30 until 8:20 PM!

http://urbancrunchie.blogspot.com/2010/12/let-right-one-in.html
Urban Crunch with a side of Dazzle. Countdown until I lose it. Friday, December 03, 2010. Let the right one in. I recently read a book called Let the Right One In. We spent some time this semester talking about how people are represented in plays, films and books. I am looking forward to how my students choose to represent themselves and the children with whom they worked. And, I am hoping that 8 very different films are produced. What if they feel overwhelmed by the idea of learning the editing process?

Urban Crunch with a side of Dazzle. Countdown until I lose it. Tuesday, April 08, 2008. Who would have guessed that when you remove Garfield from the Garfield comic strips, the result is an even better comic about schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, and the empty desperation of modern life? Friends, meet Jon Arbuckle. Let’s laugh and learn with him on a journey deep into the tortured mind of an isolated young everyman as he fights a losing battle against loneliness in a quiet American suburb.
