All in an Arizona Sunset. Saturday, October 20, 2012. We went to the reptile show like we do every year. One of the favorite features is always the petting zoo. It was very crowded, but the kids did get to pet a monitor lizard and a tortoise. New this year was a fossil dig, sponsored by the owners of the prior T-Rex museum (closed). All in an Arizona Sunset. Wednesday, September 14, 2011. This weekend Erika and Kevin backpacked 10 miles to the campground at Havasupai, camped for two nights, and hiked back to civilization. It was spectacular! Many people choose to use the mule "trains" to haul their stuff down. Wusses. 10:15 - Erika and Kevin started down the trail from the Hilltop to Supai (8 mi). Maybe it's because they are so rare, or because they are half tame in the park, but they are extraordinary creatures. This one was just walking along the side of the road when he decided to lay down and take a dust bath. Who knew bison could swim? All in an Arizona Sunset. Thursday, February 9, 2012. January 29 Erika ran a 4-mile race at Old Tucson Studios, ran her best ever with a pace of about 8:10 minute miles. We then were able spend the day in Old Tucson where we rode the train, watched a gun show,rode the carousel, and rode the train two more times. Not the train we rode.
