The Arizona Snowbirds: Mid-October news roundup
http://azsnowbird.blogspot.com/2010/10/mid-october-news-roundup.html
Observations, comments and maybe even some news about Ol' Airy Zonie. Friday, October 15, 2010. As usual, there's lots going on down in The Verde. Here's some highlights I gleaned from various newspapers this mid-October morning. The Forest Service decided not to appeal a Magistrate's ruling that slammed the infamous Red Rock Pass. You can read all about it by clicking here. If we were light enough afoot, we'd leap up and click our heels! As we said in an earlier post: Justice Prevails! The Verde NRCD is...

Observations, comments and maybe even some news about Ol' Airy Zonie. Thursday, October 21, 2010. And so it is that we read with great interest an article by one of our Journalism Faves, none other than Joanna Dodder Nellans, in the Prescott's "Daily Courier" newspaper. There's a major trail on what we Verde Valley people call "the back side of Mingus" that's known as the Great Western Trail. It's quite a famous trail, actually. ( Click here for the Wiki on the GWT. The Arizona Snowbirds: Victorville Car Show
http://azsnowbird.blogspot.com/2010/11/victorville-car-show.html
Observations, comments and maybe even some news about Ol' Airy Zonie. Saturday, November 6, 2010. Technically, this doesn't have anything to do with Arizona. But, "untechnically," it DOES! Because it's on Route 66 and, hey, we're all connected, ya know? Route 66 is the fabric of our cultural quilt! This is an awesome slide show of a November 6th car show. Sit back, turn up your speakers and enjoy! Posted by Johnny Montezuma. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).
The Arizona Snowbirds: Our leaves aren't the only laggards

Why so late a turn this year? But why are the bigger, older aspen last to turn? I haven't gotten an answer to that question - perhaps readers will supply one.". End of quoted story. Musings of a Casual Drifter
Musings of a Casual Drifter. Monday, July 20, 2015. Fun with Friends in Forbes. Have you ever had friends that live close by, yet you never see them? That seems to be the case with us and our long time friends, Rob and Gay. Even though we live about a half an hour's drive from them in Arizona, the last two times we have gotten together have required at least 5 hours hours of driving each way! Go figure. It's odd, but the 4 of us seem to readily pick up where we last left off. Rob stopped to take a pictur...
