And so it is that we read with great interest an article by one of our Journalism Faves, none other than Joanna Dodder Nellans, in the Prescott's "Daily Courier" newspaper. There's a major trail on what we Verde Valley people call "the back side of Mingus" that's known as the Great Western Trail. It's quite a famous trail, actually. ( Click here for the Wiki on the GWT. What's Happening at the Arizona Snowbowl. Tuesday, July 13, 2010. But this is so much more to do and you can spend an entire day at Snowbowl enjoying the Coconino National Forest. We have an 18 basket Disc Golf course which meanders around the bottom of the ski area and was the host of the 2005 World Disk Golf Amateur Championships.
