To the Seaside and back since 1926. Babbacombe Cliff Railway CIC. Prices & Opening Times. Following the incident in 2003 the Council allocated the funds from the sale of the St. Marychuch Town Hall to the refurbishment of the cliff railway. The cars and track were replaced in the winter of 2005/6 and the control gear and doors in 2006/7. The refurbishment of the cliff railway commenced in perfect weather conditions sunny blue skies although the prevailing easterly wind was bitterly cold.
