When I saw I missed a call from Holt this afternoon I thought perhaps they were looking for all of the paperwork that I was planning on going throught this past weekend. Turns out Holt was calling to tell me that they received our LOA! I could not believe how fast that arrived! Holt commented on how quick it arrived too. I can not believe it! We may be in China in the middle of summer!

It seems like yesterday that we stepped thru the doors at Metro airport carrying our very exhausted little girl. Yet Thursday marked 3 months home. During this time Linh has become very comfortable in her home and even more comfortable with us. It seems as though she has always been here. She is such a happy and fun little girl. Sunday, December 26, 2010. Christmas day was pretty low key for us this year. We woke up and opened gifts and I made cinnamon rolls then later in the afternoon we went to Steve and Mary's for lunch. We owned one at one point and I think I only drove the thing twice. Not sure why they are even still making them to be honest! 2 What are two foods you just can't eat? 3 Do you buy Girl Scout Cookies? I never do but Alec buys them from people who come to the fire station. I like Somoas and this year I'm proud to say I've only had one. (One cookie not one box).

Monday, February 7, 2011. For the 2nd time in recorded history our area was under a blizzard warning last Tuesday. We got over 14 inches of snow and more snow is on the way. (OH JOY! I'm glad we are all safe and sound and didn't lose power this time but it sure would be nice to be able to leave the house for a bit! The view from our front door looking at the driveway entrance.
