Mel's Mosaic of Life: January 2009
http://melanierutland.blogspot.com/2009_01_01_archive.html
Saturday, January 17, 2009. Some of my battlescars! This is Gentry and me in the hospital bed. I still had my triple line catheter in my neck at this point. Gentry always liked to take the balloons that people had brought up home with him! This is GROSS I know, but it's so much easier to explain sometimes with pictures. For those of you who tend to have a sick stomach at stuff like this.well, consider this your warning! The other huge bruise was from the port-a- cath. THANKSGIVING DAY IN THE HOSPITAL!

it's the journey: July 2012
http://tanyagoodmansykes.blogspot.com/2012_07_01_archive.html
Someone once said, "It's the journey, not just the destination.". I believe that journey should be filled with heaping spoonfuls of love, laughter, music and Jesus. Let's walk this road together! Wednesday, July 4, 2012. It's July 4th, 8:45 am, from the next room, I can hear strains of Tony Orlando's, "Knock Three Times," and I'm wondering what in the world the Today Show producers were thinking. It's Independence Day for goodness sake! Couldn't they come up with something a little more patriotic?

Wednesday, May 30, 2012. JESUS TAKE THE WHEEL. 8220;Jesus take the wheeeel, take it from my hands.”. Oh, I do love that song, and when it comes on the radio, I’m singing every word right along with Carrie- much to the chagrin of some unnamed family members. How is He teaching you this lesson? JESUS TAKE THE WHEEL.

Mel's Mosaic of Life: April 2009
http://melanierutland.blogspot.com/2009_04_01_archive.html
Wednesday, April 29, 2009. For your kind words of encouragement, offers for help and prayers being offered up for me and my family's behalf. It means SO MUCH to me and I know I say that all the time, but I TRULY mean it from the bottom of my heart! I have seen the general doc, the surgeon, the GI doc and the kidney doc.I am still so completely satisfied that I am with the. Right team of doctors. One last note before I go, and on a more serious note.I still do sincerely desire the strength of your pra...

Mel's Mosaic of Life: October 2008
http://melanierutland.blogspot.com/2008_10_01_archive.html
Wednesday, October 29, 2008. I know I won't do the sermon justice, but I wanted to post what I could remember about Pastor Blake's sermon Sunday night. It was SO good! PS They have podcasts of all Pastor Blake's sermons available on the church website. I don't really know how to do the whole "podcast" thing, but if you know how to work it, it would definitely be worth your time to look that message up and listen to it. The website for the church is www.ckac.org. Wednesday, October 29, 2008. There was an ...

Random yet deliberate ruminations on art and crafty stuff, the state of education, munchies, various psychoses, and a not-your-standard-garden-variety life. Monday, October 4, 2010. Metro No Longer Surprises Me. We have a young friend who is a freshman at a local school that prides itself in its International Baccalaureate program, and its number of AP classes. nashbabe's world: Trees
http://nashbabe.blogspot.com/2010/01/trees.html
Random yet deliberate ruminations on art and crafty stuff, the state of education, munchies, various psychoses, and a not-your-standard-garden-variety life. Tuesday, January 5, 2010. I’m still not used to trees. When I moved to Nashville, the most striking thing to both hubs and myself was the vast number of trees. They were positively EVERYWHERE! And hills. Lots of hills. A wee bit claustrophobic, we were. It’s winter. All the leaves are long gone. And I can see a long, long way. In th...Teleios is on t...
