http://burnettdancingintherain.blogspot.com/2011_08_01_archive.html
August 24, 2011. Nathan's first day of school was Tuesday. It was a rough day for all. He cried. He screamed. He asked for his mom and dad repeatedly. But he made it through his first day and his first bus ride home. His teacher's note from his first day:. Oh, boy. I thought we had our work cut out for us. So Nate and I talked A LOT that night about school and what to expect. And about being brave and not crying at school. Once he got off the bus he was all smiles. His note from today:. Nathan had a much.

http://burnettdancingintherain.blogspot.com/2011_10_01_archive.html

You should be aware that having a child with SB may cause increased motivation to help others, a new-found perspective in times of trial, a desire to enjoy the little things and commitment to change the way the world defines "disability". Studies show that raising a child with SB will induce strong feelings of gratitude for. I think that says it all. October 26, 2011.

So I took a personality test that tells me my color code. I laughed out loud at how right the description of me was, so I figured I'd post it here:. Congratulations, Mary, you are a RED personality. The Core Motivation that drives you through life is "Power". Power means the ability to get things done, to go from A to B as quickly and directly as possible. The word power was derived from the Old French. You will, however, resist being forced to do anything that doesn't interest you. It's been a while.

Life in This Old Bungalow: September 2013
http://tobungalow.blogspot.com/2013_09_01_archive.html
Life in This Old Bungalow. Our journey from 109 year-old house to 109 year-old home. Friday, September 6, 2013. Let's try this again. I've been reading all the blogs about life, family, home repair, happiness, cooking, etc lately, checking out all the fancy pictures and wondered exactly how long it's been since I last blogged myself. Um, wow. Over a year and a half. Awesome. Maybe I should just wait and make it an even two years. Or maybe I should get over it. And try again. And she was all like "No!

Dancing in the Rain: April 2011
http://burnettdancingintherain.blogspot.com/2011_04_01_archive.html
April 05, 2011. Nate is talking up a storm these days. And I've been trying to write down some of the things he says because they are so cute! Ryan puts Nate in his wheel chair after breakfast. A few minutes later he wheels up to Ryan. What we got goin' on today? Nate is sitting on my lap and we are snuggling and talking. He starts stroking my hair, looks up at me and says,. Mommy, you're my best friend. I tell Nate we are going to Target later. What am I going to get there? What's daddy's favorite store?

Dancing in the Rain: November 2011
http://burnettdancingintherain.blogspot.com/2011_11_01_archive.html
November 24, 2011. Thankful for a big move. It's been a long road, but we are at the end of it. We've known for a while that the house we live in now doesn't suit our family's needs. We live in a bi-level and with Nate in a wheel chair it has been trying. Plus, with the addition of Lucas it just seems smaller. Nate really has nowhere to go here, is constantly bumping into furniture and we have a family room downstairs that we barely ever use. I really don't think this new house could be any more perfect ...
