The Yates Family: My Dad and Love
http://dallasyates.blogspot.com/2013/01/my-dad-and-love.html
Wednesday, January 23, 2013. My Dad and Love. It is now 2013 and I think I am finally ready to write this post and get back into blogging. We have some catching up to do on this blog. We lost my Dad very unexpectedly in August and life has been different since. This Friday is his birthday and as I reflect on the last 5 months I realize that I have learned a lot about life and love and loss. I know this because I saw signs of my Dad’s love everywhere, and it still carries me through. The weeks before Dad ...

The Yates Family: The Lovies
http://dallasyates.blogspot.com/2013/03/the-lovies.html
Tuesday, March 26, 2013. Gerome Giraffe, Tootsie Owl, and Lambert Lamb. My children each have an Angel Dear lovie. It is one of the best things I did as a Mom. At birth I introduced to them a small, portable, washable, and durable lovie to sleep with, nurse with, and help comfort them in different situations/settings. We try to keep them in their beds, and we have 2 of each for when one is dirty or missing. I had way too much time on my hands back then! Gerome the Giraffe: PEYTON. He's such a cuddly guy.

Lilypie Second Birthday tickers. Monday, August 24, 2009. Well, most of you know the story and details already, but Will is here and is actually already 3 weeks old! Even though it was difficult, as it is for most, it was well worth it and we couldn't be happier. It feels great to be settling in at home with little Will. Email from Jim sent on August 7th:. Family and Friends,. In any event, it's all part of a story that has had a very happy ending, in spite of the few twists and turns. It has made me...

Lilypie Second Birthday tickers. Thursday, January 19, 2012. Okayso I haven't been the best about blogging lately. That's pretty much the understatement of the year! Actually, when I kept looking at my "Goodbye, October" post, I felt a horrible sense of guilt. October? What about November and December? I don't know what has happened to make me neglect blogging, (other than the fact that I am pregnant and tired all of the time), but I'm not giving up! 4 Jim and I traveled to Washington D.C. to go ...We we...

The Dow Diaries: November 2011
http://thedowdiaries.blogspot.com/2011_11_01_archive.html
Lilypie Second Birthday tickers. Tuesday, November 8, 2011. Wow I can't believe October has passed us by already! And I happened to look back on the number of posts I've done since I've been pregnant per month and it's kind of pitiful (Pregnancy is my excuse, anyway). So, I figured doing 2 posts in one day is a good way to increase those numbers! Up to no good at the pumpkin patch. Pumpkin picking is serious business. How cute is this, if I do say so myself? Puppy Dog Jack and the Willosaurus. And the re...

Tuesday, January 31, 2012. Big Giant Baby Game. Here is a little game we played today when Nolan crawled over to Peyton's blocks and started taking them apart. Peyton didn't miss a beat and rather than getting upset played right along. I grabbed the camera :). Once upon a time Big Giant Baby walked into our town like a tornado and started ripping apart the family windmill farm of Peyton Yates. Oh No It's BIG GIANT Baby! Someone, Call 911! 911, What's your emergency? Yes- Looks like that did the trick!
